The Briscoe Family
Our Story
Dorrell and Tracy grew up in sunny Florida. They met in 2003 at their church and got married in 2012. Tracy was in the mortgage industry for ten years and then jumped into ministry full-time in 2008. Dorrell earned a master's degree in Public Administration and worked in local and state government for five years, across Florida, Texas, and Louisiana. Dorrell and Tracy served as young adults pastors for six years in Florida before moving to North Carolina in 2016. In 2016, the Briscoe’s moved to Raleigh while Dorrell was finishing his doctorate at Duke and served as the Raleigh Campus Pastor at Hope Community Church.
During their time in North Carolina, God has given them a love and passion for the city and people of Durham. Eventually, it was clear to them that God was asking them to start a church in Durham to impact and influence that community through serving, loving and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
They love jazz, working out, having people in their home, coffee, and time with their four beautiful children, Luke, Noah, Amelia Hope and Ella Grace.
